NHS England and NHS Improvement has launched the next phase of the ‘Help Us, Help You’ campaign which focuses on the NHS 111 service as a newÌýwayÌýtoÌýaccessÌýA&E/EmergencyÌýDepartments. We are again asking for your help to communicate the importantÌýcampaign messages to your audiences and availability of resources and alternative formats including BSL and easy read which are easily accessible on the campaign website.
The aim of this campaign is to direct people to use NHS 111 first when they have anÌýurgentÌýbutÌýnotÌýlife-threatening medicalÌýneed,ÌýratherÌýthanÌýgoingÌýstraightÌýtoÌýA&E. If the patient needs urgent care, NHS 111 can now book them in to be seenÌýquicklyÌýandÌýsafelyÌýinÌýA&E andÌýhelpÌýensureÌýthatÌýpatientsÌýreceiveÌýtheÌýrightÌýcare,ÌýinÌýaÌýtimelyÌýandÌýsafeÌýway.ÌýWe are also keen to highlight that the NHS 111 service can be contacted by textphone and NHS 111 BSL interpreter service.
